When practicing hypnotherapy, my immediate goal is to get you to feel exactly how you want to feel as quickly as possible. For example, it may be beneficial for you if I remove a feeling of anxiety, or give you a feeling of calmness and confidence. In essence, I am focused upon getting your emotions and thoughts to work for you, rather than against you.


I regularly help individuals suffering from phobias, panic attacks, depression, insomnia, trauma, OCD, low self esteem, sexual problems, excessive anger, stress and addictions.


When practiced correctly by a competent professional, hypnotherapy is not concerned with aimlessly searching a client’s past for childhood traumas, or endless talking in the hope that the client will eventually ‘self actualise’. Hypnotherapy is proactive, relatively quick, and extremely effective.


In addition to using hypnotherapy, I often employ a variety of NLP techniques in consultations. NLP is a branch of psychology and personal development which is used to overcome irrational feelings and help control unhelpful thoughts. My hypnotherapeutic orientation is based mainly within the fields of behaviourism and solution focused psychotherapy.


I firmly believe that therapy should never become part of the patient’s life. One of the main reasons for this is that occasionally patients can become dependent upon their therapist and this is counter productive. The vast majority of my clients only need to see me once. However all of my clients have access to my personal mobile phone number and are welcome to phone me at any point of the day if they have any questions or need to talk.
