I initially became interested in hypnosis as a teenager after I watched a stage hypnotist perform. I remember feeling astounded that this performer could use his skills to seemingly control the actions and beliefs of my friends.
After the show had finished I had a brief chat with the hypnotist who advised me of some resources where I would be able to learn the basics of hypnosis. I visited Maidstone library and began to read everything I could find on the subject, from self help manuals to academic texts.
I then began to see if I could use some of these techniques myself. In my sixth form I offered to remove my friends phobias or help them with their study skills. To my delight I found that I was very successful with the majority of my volunteers.
Later I decided that I would like to make a career out of hypnotherapy so I contacted a hypnotherapy training provider based in Brighton where I embarked on their Diploma course. After qualifying I continued working in my day job for around 18 months and regularly saw clients at evenings and weekends.
As time went by, my client base grew significantly until I decided to become completely freelance the age of 21.
At present I live in central Maidstone and see between 2 and 10 clients each week. My other interests include studying, keeping fit and performing mentalism.
